Munich-BMW has plans to develop autonomous cars. To that end, BMW wanted to employ technology expert for the sake of smooth the autonomous car development plans.
As reported in Automotive News, Wednesday (22/6/2016), BMW looks serious to develop future technologies. BMW is certainly a heavy face challenges because it is already building its identity as a car manufacturer with a good driving performance.
On the other hand, according to one consulting firm Roland Berger, the autonomous car predicted will contribute 40 percent of the automobile benefits by 2030.
To that end, BMW is also developing an autonomous car focus. The development of the BMW AG Klaus Froehlich said, it will employ a company stub (startup), partner with technology companies and recruiting technology expert to create autonomous car electronic brain.
"We definitely need a partner in this, and we need to make massive internal resources as well," said Froehlich.
Previously, BMW had acquired an important part in the development of the autonomous car.
Last year, BMW along with Daimler AG and Volkswagen AG bought the unit
map real-time HERE from Nokia with a value of 2.8 billion euros and was
looking for another partner.
